Endura Grease Traps. Lightweight. Durable. Ships Today!

Grease traps, also commonly known as grease interceptors, are devices used to intercept most greases and solids before they enter a municipal or private waste disposal system. Common wastewater contains small amounts of oils which enter into septic systems and municipal or public treatment facilities where they could form an unsightly and odor laden floating layer. This "scum" layer is very slowly digested and broken down by biological microorganisms. However, very large amounts of oil from food production in kitchens and restaurants can exceed the septic tank or treatment facility, causing a release of untreated sewage. Also, very thick fats and cooking greases solidify when cooled, and can combine with other disposed solids to block drain pipes.

Grease traps are boxes within the drainage run that are place between the sinks in a kitchen and the sewer or septic system. They only have waste water (no toilets) flowing through them. This site features grease traps made from light weight but extremely durable plastics that can hold anywhere between 14 and 100 pounds of grease. They can be located above ground, below ground, inside the kitchen or outside the building.

Our grease traps are the most common types specified by ASME (American Society Of Mechanical Engineers). Utilizing baffles inside smalltanks, they restrict flow and remove 85-90% of the incoming fat, oil, and grease (FOG). Grease trap sizing is based on the size of the 2 or 3 compartment sink, dishwasher, pot sinks, and mop sinks. These grease interceptors are certified to the current version of the PDI-G101standard and where locally applicable to ASME112.14.3 or have UPC listing. Contractors must provide mechanical connectors to connect the grease interceptor.

If you are replacing a grease trap or grease interceptor  (50 GPM or smaller) made by such companies as Zurn, Watts, J.R. Smith, Jonespec, or Rockford consider the advantages of the thermoplastic grease trap from Canplas. The Endura product is light, durable and competitively priced and approved for use in all states.
